Colchester County rebranding with new logo & tagline
The Municipality of Colchester is rebranding.
Councillors have approved a new logo and the tagline "be centred here."
According to a release from the County, the tag line promotes Colchester's central geographic location in Nova Scotia, as well as being a place to live a centred and balanced lifestyle.
The new logo is made up of four partial C-shapes that come together as one, with the colours chosen to reflect key characteristics.
The dark orange is inspired by the Bay of Fundy cliffs. The gold is a colour inspired by the area’s sunsets, while the green is inspired by the County’s strong agricultural roots, natural resources and environmental stewardship. The waters of the North Shore and many rivers inspired the blues in the new logo.
The Municipality says it will begin implementing the new brand throughout its operations in stages.
Colchester Mayor Christine Blair says they'll continue using the coat-of-arms for formal purposes, though people will soon begin seeing the new look more prominently throughout County communications.
