Digby fire ruled accidental by RCMP
The RCMP say a fire that damaged three vehicles at the government wharf in Digby has been ruled accidental.
The fire was reported around 4:15 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police say surveillance video shows the driver of a cube van exiting the parked vehicle by the wharf just after 4 a.m.
Smoke can be seen coming from under the hood, and flames become visible a short time later coming from the engine compartment.
A truck parked next to the cube van was completely destroyed and another sustained heavy damage.
Police say they're aware of rumours in the community surrounding the cause of the fire, but determined it was accidental in nature.
