Drug charges laid following Greenwood traffic stop


Two people are facing drug charges following a traffic stop in Greenwood early Friday morning.

The RCMP say the officer noticed evidence of marijuana consumption and then recognized the passenger as being in violation of house arrest conditions.

Police say a search of the vehicle, incidental to the arrest of Lytora Dinah MacArthur of Kingston, and located marijuana and cocaine.

MacArthur faces two counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking and failing to comply with conditions.

The driver, 62-year-old Kerry Kip Laffin from Middleton, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
