Elderly woman recovering from goose attack in Dartmouth

news-update

An 87-year-old woman is recovering from injuries she suffered when a group of geese attacked her in a Halifax-area park.

Willow Webb was out for her morning walk near Sullivans Pond in downtown Dartmouth when she spotted the nine domesticated, resident geese swimming near the edge of the pond.

At some point, the geese knocked her over and started pecking at her until a passerby intervened.

Webb was left badly bruised, has a cast on one of her arms and can no longer walk because her hip was injured.
