Government names board members of $50 million forestry trust
The Nova Scotia government has named the board members who will oversee a $50 million Forestry Innovation Transition Trust.
Sandra McKenzie of Waverley, nominated by government as chair, will be joined by Douglas Hall of Halifax and David Saxton of Yarmouth as transition team nominees.
The trust, announced in February, can be accessed by companies, organizations, or post-secondary institutions working and researching in the forestry and biological resources sectors.
Projects can include new ecological services or developing new high-value products, business models, processes, or services.
Government says that the trust expects to open for applications in July, with further details coming later this month.
