Limited services to resume at Tatamagouche hospital on Monday

The Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital in Tatamagouche will be resuming limited outpatient services on Monday.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) says treatment will be offered for "unexpected but non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses requiring immediate care".

The NSHA says that the interim service, staffed by family physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses will be available seven days a week.

The hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., unless staff is not available.

There is no overnight service.

Patients are strongly encouraged to call 902-657-2382 in advance of their visit.

Full emergency services are available at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Amherst, Colchester East Hants Health Centre in Truro, and Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow.
