Lower Sackville man dies following collision
A 60-year-old man from Lower Sackville is dead after a collision Friday night.
RCMP say the man was crossing the Beaverbank Connector on foot, near the off-ramp for Exit 2 from Highway 101, around 9:00 p.m. on November 30.
Police say he was struck by a vehicle and a short time later he was struck by a second vehicle.
Officers and EHS responded and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The interchange of Highway 101 at Exit 2 was closed for several hours as an RCMP Collision Analyst attended and examined the scene for evidence, and was re-opened to traffic around 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
Police say the man was wearing dark clothing and the area where the collision occurred was very dark at the time of the incident.
