Man charged following head-on collision in Hammonds Plains

A 25-year-old man of Hammonds Plains has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm after a head-on collision.

Halifax District RCMP responded to the scene on Hammonds Plains Road, near Yankeetown Road, at 5:15 p.m. on Sunday.

Police say that a silver car, which had been driving in a dangerous manner prior to the crash, crossed the center line and struck a red car in the oncoming lane.

The occupants of the red car, an adult woman and two children, and the driver of the silver car were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The man has been released from custody, and is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on November 30th.
