Man killed, another in critical condition following crash near Albert Bridge

Cape Breton Regional Police (CBRP) say one man is dead and three others are injured following an early morning crash in the Albert Bridge area.

Residents on Hornes Road reported a vehicle had overturned in the ditch around 3:30 a.m. on Monday.

The Mira Road Volunteer Fire Department responded to remove two trapped occupants from the vehicle.

The driver, believed to be in his 20's, was pronounced dead and police are working to confirm his identity.

A 26-year-old passenger was transported to hospital and police say he remains in stable but critical condition.

Two other passengers, both 25-year-old men, escaped the vehicle with minor injuries.

CBRP have seized the vehicle as the investigation into the crash continues.
