Municipal voting updates in Truro, Pictou County for Thursday

Nova Scotians are two days away from the municipal and Conseil Scolaire Acadien Provincial (CSAP) election day on Saturday.

Electronic voting, by phone or internet, is being conducted in Truro and the six municipalities in Pictou County.

Truro is reporting that 25.4 per cent of eligible voters have already cast their ballots, up almost four per cent from yesterday.

Voting has been brisk in the six Pictou County municipalities, with the county, New Glasgow, Pictou, and Stellarton all above 35 per cent as of today.

Trenton is at 43.6 per cent as of yesterday, while 29.3 per cent of eligible voters cast their ballot in Westville as of Tuesday.

Thursday is also the final day for advance voting in the Municipality of Colchester.
