N.S. expanding COVID-19 testing for essential work or travel
The Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) has partnered with PRAXES Medical Group to support expanded COVID-19 testing for essential work or travel.
Public Health says PRAXES will provide testing for those who require a negative COVID-19 test to travel internationally on compassionate grounds, for urgent work related matters and for students and migrant workers returning home.
Tests will not be provided for non-essential travel or travel for business when virtual meetings can take place.
Testing requests must be made online at least five business days prior to the departure date, those eligible will receive a booking link within 24 hours, and results will be available within 36 to 60 hours of testing.
The NSHA says tests are available at the PRAXES Dartmouth location, at a cost of $250.00 plus HST per test, and will be available in other areas of the province later.
