New Glasgow Regional Police investigating bomb threat

A bomb threat forced the evacuation of a number of New Glasgow businesses late Wednesday afternoon.

New Glasgow Regional Police say officers and firefighters responded to a bomb threat at Web.com's office on East River Road around 4 p.m.

The Web.com office was evacuated, along with other businesses on East River Road and Atlantic Drive.

Both police and firefighters searched the Web.com office, but nothing suspicious was found.

The search concluded just before 9 p.m.

The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact New Glasgow Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.
