Police continue to investigate murder of Ricky Walker
Halifax Regional Police say they are still investigating the murder of Ricky Walker, as Sunday marks three years since his death.
Around 2:50 a.m. on September 1, 2016, 48-year-old Ricky Walker was located in medical distress behind John McNeil Elementary School on Leaman Drive in Dartmouth.
Police say he was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Investigators believe there are people who have information that can help solve Ricky's murder and hope that the passage of time encourages someone to come forward with what they know.
Halifax Regional Police say this case is part of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program which offers cash rewards of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for specified major unsolved crimes.
Callers must contact the Rewards Program at 1-888-710-9090 and must provide their name and contact information and may be called to testify in court.
