Police investigating collision in Enfield

The RCMP are investigating a collision in Enfield that sent one person to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers, EHS and the East Hants and Enfield Volunteer Fire Departments responded at around 3:30 p.m. Friday to a collision between a jeep and a car at the intersection of Horne Settlement Road and Renfrew Road.

Police say a 22-year-old man from Enfield, who was the driver and sole occupant of the car, was transported to hospital via LifeFlight with serious injuries.

The 54-year-old man who was the driver and only occupant of the jeep was not injured.

RCMP say the roadway was closed for around two hours for the investigation but has since reopened.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
