Police investigating serious collision in Wolfville
Kings District RCMP is investigating a serious single vehicle collision in Wolfville Saturday.
Officers responded along with the Wolfville Fire Department and EHS around 5:15 a.m. to the collision on Highway 101 where they found a pickup with extensive damage on the north side of the westbound lanes.
Police say the driver, a 48-year-old man from Lower Sackville who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, had to be extracted and was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A release states the highway was closed between Exit 10 and Exit 11 for several hours while an RCMP Collision Analyst attended the scene.
RCMP say the road was re-opened at 4:00 p.m.
