Potential COVID-19 exposure at Canada Games Centre in Halifax: NSHA

The Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) is alerting the public to a potential COVID-19 exposure at the Canada Games Centre in Halifax.

A release states anyone who used the Fitness Centre on August 28, 29 or 30, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., or on August 31 or September 1 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. may have been exposed to the virus.

Public Health says the risk of exposure is low, however the NHSA is still asking any patrons of the fitness centre on the dates and times mentioned to self-monitor for symptoms.

Symptoms can develop up to and including 14 days from a person's last potential exposure.

The NHSA says it is directly contacting anyone known to be a contact of the case involved.
