RCMP arrest additional person in 2016 assault incident

The RCMP say a 37-year-old man has been arrested in relation to an incident where a man was left in a pickup on the side of Highway 105 in Glendale in June 2016.

Police say they responded to the call on June 7, 2016 and found a severely injured man in the truck.

The man was transported to hospital via Life Flight in critical condition.

RCMP investigators believe this incident occurred inside an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang clubhouse in New Glasgow and the injured man was transported in the pickup truck and left where police found him.

Police say three man have been previously charged with offences related to this incident, and investigators with the RCMP Northeast Nova Major Crimes Unit recently determined a fourth man was also involved.

A release says 37-year-old David James Bishop was arrested in Dartmouth on Thursday for the following offences:
- Aggravated Assault;
- Forcible Confinement;
- Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence;
- Accessory After the Fact;

RCMP say Bishop appeared in Pictou Provincial Court on October 31 and was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on November 12.
