RCMP investigating White Rock stabbing

New Minas RCMP are investigating a stabbing in White Rock on Friday night.

Officers responded around 9:30 p.m. to a report of a stabbing on White Rock Road.

Police say the victim was already being transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries when they arrived, and the suspect was located and arrested without incident at the scene.

RCMP say the two parties involved in the incident are known to each other and they do not consider this a random act.

21-year-old Joshua Emino of Lunenburg County has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Police say Emino is being held in custody pending a court appearance on Tuesday.

The investigation is ongoing.
