RCMP release name of homicide victim found in St. Croix


The victim of the homicide from the incidents of May 24th in Kings and Hants Counties has been identified as 51-year-old Robert Michael Campbell of Falmouth.

The RCMP say his death is one of two serious incidents that occurred that day, within two hours of one another in Kings and Hants Counties. 

Two residents fled their home in Wolfville during the early morning hours after their home was entered.

Police found evidence of an injury at the scene, but say the residents of the home were not hurt.

The attack is not believed to be random.

Shortly after 7 a.m., a vehicle fire was reported to police in St. Croix.

The vehicle involved was a grey van and police found Campbell's remains inside.
