Police are reminding motorists that school zones are 30 km/h when children are present, when the approaching limit is 50 km/h.

Drivers must slow to 50 km/h when children are present, where the maximum speed limit is higher than that.

Motorists are also reminded to approach crosswalks with caution as pedestrians have the right of way, and to always stop for school buses.
