State of emergency extended in Nova Scotia

The state of emergency in Nova Scotia has been extended for another two weeks.

The order was set to expire at noon on Sunday and will now run until noon on May 17th unless government terminates or extends it.

The state of emergency in the province was originally declared on March 22nd.

It's been extended under the authority of the Emergency Management Act for the protection of the health and safety of Nova Scotians.
