Truro's Santa Claus Parade switching back to daytime hours

A few changes have been made for this year's Santa Claus Parade in Truro.

This year's parade, with the theme "Your Favourite Holiday Story or Movie," is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 24.

It's traditionally been held on a Saturday and, for the past several years, was held later in the evening.

The Downtown Truro Partnership says this year's parade is going with an earlier start for the safety of the community with better daytime visibility.

A number of communities across Nova Scotia have made changes to parades following the tragic death of a child at last year's Christmas parade in Yarmouth.

The four-year-old girl was killed after falling beneath a float.
