Two Alberta men charged with stunting in Antigonish

Police say two men from Alberta have been charged with stunting on Highway 104 near Monastery on Sunday.

A release states an off-duty officer reported a blue Chevrolet Camaro and a white Mercedes C 63 traveling westbound at extremely high rates of speed.

RCMP say an officer working near Exit 31 caught both vehicles on RADAR and measured the speeds at 232 km/h, 122 km/h over the posted speed limit.

Both vehicles were stopped and police say a 48-year-old man from Wetaskiwin, Alberta and a 43-year-old man from Fort McMurray, Alberta were ticketed for Stunting.

Police say as part of being charged with Stunting, both drivers were issued immediate seven-day driving suspensions, were fined $2,422.50 and had their vehicles seized and impounded.
