Two people arrested after a shooting on the Halifax waterfront

Two people were arrested, though no charges have been laid yet, after reports of gun shots on the Halifax waterfront.

Halifax Regional Police (HRP) responded to the area of Lower Water Street and Sackville Street around 8:27 p.m. yesterday.

Officers were on scene quickly, but were unable to locate a victim or a suspect in the area.

Shortly after, HRP say that a 17-year-old was dropped off at the QEII Health Sciences Centre with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

A vehicle believed to be involved in this incident in the 600 block of Main Street in Dartmouth and officers took two suspects in custody.
