Two women charged after fentanyl detected in Windsor-West Hants area


Two 20-year-old women have been charged after an investigation into two drug overdoses in the Windsor-West Hants area in 24 hours.

The RCMP say one person died and another was transported to hospital and has survived.

The drugs were immediately seized and sent for testing, and police say they've since received confirmation that one of the drugs was fentanyl.

Lexus Young of Windsor has been charged with trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Nateisha States of Newport Station has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Both women will appear in Windsor Provincial Court at a later date to answer to these charges.
