**Updated** Dump truck recoverd, suspect outstanding in theft

Halifax District RCMP say the dump truck stolen from a business on Highway 7 in Westphal has been recovered.

Police say they continue to search for the person responsible for the theft.

The Halifax District RCMP needs help finding a stolen dump truck and identifying a suspect in its theft.

A release says the dump truck was taken between 8:55 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on February 24 from a business parking lot on Highway 7 in Westphal.

Police say surveillance footage shows a small white car driving into the parking lot of the business next door and a man is seen walking towards the stolen dump truck before getting in and driving it away.

RCMP describe the truck as a white 2008 GMC C5500 dump truck with attached Nova Scotia licence plate 524 66D.

"NDS Property Services" is written on the doors of the truck.

Police say the suspect was wearing a black hoodie with a graphic on the front, blue jeans and black sneakers.
