Waycobah traffic stop leads to drug charge
A 37-year-old woman from Waycobah First Nation is facing drug charges after a traffic stop in the community on Wednesday.
In a release, police say they received a tip and initiated the traffic stop on Reservation Road.
RCMP say they searched the vehicle and seized a significant quantity of Oxycodone tablets, a cell phone and cash.
Police say the woman, who has not been named, is facing a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
The woman was released from custody and is due to appear in Wagmatcook Provincial Court in July.
