Seedy Saturday to take over Brockville Memorial Centre
What has become an end of winter tradition will continue in Brockville on Saturday as the 6th annual 'Seedy Saturday' will once again be put on by the Brockville Public Library.
The annual event will feature a free seed exchange, free planting activity for kids, local garden clubs, along with vendors, guest speakers and demonstrations.
Brandy Smith with the Brockville Public Library said it's not just seeds available for the public on Saturday, it's a wealth of knowledge as well.
"When you bring in your seeds and exchange them, you also get information from the acutal gardener who has grown these seeds," she said.
"You can find out the best tips on planting them, what kind of soil they like, growing conditions and all that information comes free with free seeds."
This year's version of Seedy Saturday runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Brockville Memorial Centre.
