Provincial coordinator to help address campus sexual violence
The New Brunswick government is hiring a provincial coordinator to oversee efforts to address sexual violence at publicly funded post-secondary institutions.
The new coordinator will help the institutions identify service and resource needs, consult with stakeholders, and access funding for projects and initiatives.
Women's Equality minister Tammy Scott-Wallace says university colleges and campuses should be safe spaces to live, work, and grow.
Wallace says the new coordinator will help to understand sexual violence on campuses, as well as improve awareness and response measures.
