Designated support persons temporarily banned from some units of Edmundston Regional Hospital
The Vitalite Health Network says it's suspending the presence of designated support persons in the Acute Psychiatry Unit and Child Psychiatry Unit at Edmundston Regional Hospital.
The network says the temporary suspension is due to a possible exposure to COVID-19 within the units.
The suspension will remain in effect until further notice.
Existing visitor restrictions remain in effect in the facility's other units where exceptions apply for patients entitled to have a designated support person.
