Chase McEachern AED Memorial Fund
February 15, 2006 was the date Chase’s family made the difficult decision to turn of the respiratory machines and say goodbye. It was also the beginning of the campaign to put defibrillators in schools, churches. All public places. Donations can be made through Canada Helps, key in Chase McEachern AED Memorial Fund Inc. Donations will receive a tax receipt and all money raised here in NB will stay here to purchase defibrillators. Not for Profit groups that are in need of a defibrillator go to Chasesdream.org and fill out the application. -
A Message from NB Power
Please note that NB Power and/or its contractor is carrying out upgrades to infrastructure over a 10-week period in Grand Falls. You may see crews and equipment working in backyards. Traffic control setups will be present in various areas. NB Power thanks the public for their patience and understanding. This important work will improve power supply reliability in the area. Grand Falls Rapids 50/50 Raffle
The Grand Falls Rapids are all about winning on the ice!! They also give you the chance to win!! The Rapids have a 50/50 draw every Wednesday night at 7PM! Cost to play is just $2 a week. The jackpot changes every week!! Can't win if you don't play!! Get in on the Grand Falls Rapids 50/50 draw!! The Rapids raffle fundraiser happens throughout the year, not just during the hockey season. All proceeds go to the Billet and Education programs for Rapids players. Animalotto Mad-Vic 50/50
The Animalotto Mad-Vic 50/50 raises funds to support Refuge Madawaska Shelter and Valley SPCA. The weekly draw happens Thursdays at 6:30PM, LIVE on the lottery's facebook page. Tickets are $2 each week and are available from Valley SPCA members or at any of the participating retailers. Tickets must be purchased before 6PM on Wednesdays. Must be 19 or older to play. The Grand Falls Fire Department 50/50 Lottery supports many things within the department including equipment upkeep and firefighter training. Draw happens every Sunday. 1st Annual Battle of the Badges
Thursday, June 15th at Veteran's Field, your Grand Falls Police are taking on your Grand Falls Fire Department in the first annual Battle of the Badges baseball game. Time: BBQ starting at 5:30PM, First pitch 7PM. Entry Fee: Pay what you can, proceeds will be donated to the Grand Falls Minor Baseball Association. BBQ provided by the town of Grand Falls before the game and lot of fun and excitement planned! Come on out and see your Emergency Services in a different kind of emergency setting....for the bragging rights! Note: if you or your organization would like to make a donation to this event, cheques to Grand Falls Minor baseball will be accepted at E & P Senechal Centre reception up to game day. -

June 17th events: New Denmark Rec Centre all day 8AM – 1:30PM – Farmers Market – adult and kids games, sports arena bouncy castle, Axe Throwing, Balloon Guy, ice cream, popcorn, cotton candy and more, 11AM BBQ lunch – Danish sausages, hot dogs supplied by Hansen's Meats, Hamburgers and soft drinks, 2PM– 3PM – New Denmark Parade – featuring Grand Falls Classic Car Club, Local Legion, Wednesday Evening Fiddlers, Fire Dept. RCMP and floats from area business and residents. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize for the best float. Judging by Chuck Chiasson and Richard Bragdon, 5PM– 6PM – Cold Plate supper – St. Ansgars Church – Cost $13, 8PM– 1AM – New Denmark Rec Centre DANCE – featuring performances by local Kyle Johnson and The Divorcees.
