N.B. reports three COVID-related deaths, 1,189 new cases on Tuesday
New Brunswick is reporting three COVID-19 related deaths and 1,189 new cases of the virus on Tuesday.
Officials say a person in their 80s and another aged 90 and older have died in Zone 6 (Bathurst Region), and a person in their 70s has died in Zone 7 (Miramichi Region).
To date, there have been 215 COVID-19 related deaths in the province.
Public Health says the new cases include 350 that have been confirmed by a PCR-test, and 839 new positive rapid tests, and 337 people have recovered after testing positive.
There are 138 people in hospital, including 11 in ICU and three people who are on a ventilator.
Government says there are currently 482 health-care workers isolating after testing positive for COVID-19.
As of Tuesday, 91.8 per cent of eligible New Brunswickers have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, 83.9 per cent have received their second dose, and 39.4 per cent have received their booster (third) dose.
