SIU called in for Saugeen Shores collision
The province’s Special Investigations Unit has been called in to probe the circumstances surrounding a collision Thursday afternoon in Saugeen Shores.
An officer with Saugeen Shores police who was on patrol around 2pm attempted to stop a vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act infraction.
The driver refused to pull over and fled from the cruiser before hitting a tree.
Both occupants of the vehicle suffered serious injuries and were transported to hospital
No further information will be released by Saugeen Shores Police while the SIU investigation is underway.
