Third person charged in Owen Sound murder

Owen Sound Police Service and the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch  have arrested a third individual in connection with an ongoing homicide investigation in Owen Sound.

A 17-year-old from Brampton has been charged with First Degree Murder.  

On July 11, 2023, shortly after 1:00 am, Owen Sound police responded to a shooting at the old hospital apartment complex on 6th Avenue West, where they located a deceased individual in what investigators believe was a targeted shooting. 

The deceased is identified as 17-year-old Robert MCINTOSH of Owen Sound.

The accused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Two other individuals - 34 year old Dustin Noonan of Owen Sound and 25 year old Donte'a Ryan Mitchell of North York - were charged with first degree murder the day after the shooting

Both remain in custody.

The investigation is ongoing under the direction of the CIB and involves members of the OSPS, OSPS Crime Unit, OPP West Region Crime Prevention and Investigations, OSPS and OPP Forensic Identification Services, the OPP Regional Support Team , in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
