Two men charged after raid on Chatsworth property

On November 22, 2023, the Grey Bruce Community Street Crime Unit, West Region Regional Support Team along with General Law Enforcement officers attended a property on Highway 6 in the Township of Chatsworth and executed a search warrant.

During the search police seized stolen property such as an Acura TLX, a Can Am 100R side by side, a Can Am Renegade ATV, a Honda ATV, and an ATV trailer. The total value of recovered stolen property is $80,000.

The OPP has charged John McNichol, 47-years-old of Chatsworth Township with the following offences under the Criminal Code:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 X2
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 X2
  • Alter/Destroy/Remove VIN

 

The OPP has charged Nathan McNichol, 24-years-old of West Perth with the following offences under the Criminal Code:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 X2
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 X2
  • Alter/Destroy/Remove VIN

 

Both accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on December 21, 2023.
