Update-Wanted Man Arrested near Grand Forks

A man wanted by Grand Forks RCMP is back in custody.
RCMP reported the 31-year-old was arrested Fri. Feb 3. at about 9 p.m. in an area between Grand Forks and Midway.
Police said officers from both detachments reponsed to reports of Ryan Harp being spotted between Phoenix Rd. and Marshall Lake Rd.
Police said he was taken into custody without incident and appeared for a bail hearing on Sat.
Sgt. Darryl Peppler said Harp remains in custody pending a return to court on Tues. Feb. 7.
"We were able to get his story and image out late last week and in just 2 days, he was spotted by a member of the public and taken back into custody," stated Peppler.
"Media releases then the sharing across social media platforms are a great asset to police investigations and we are very thankful for the public assistance on this matter," added the detachment commander.
He is accused of choking someone, assault with a weapon, making threats and arson.
