This week, with shorter days and cooler nights upon us Anthony offers up a list of value reds, with tips on finding good value on your own in BC stores; Severine Pinte, Winemaker and Managing Partner of Le Vieux Pin and La Stella, joins us to talk about Sustainable Winegrowing BC, of which she is also Chair; David McBean, General Manager of the Watermark Beach Resort, reports on tourism in the South Okanagan after a challenging August, and what their resort features for the fall; Geoffrey Moss MW and owner of Lithica Wine Marketing, gives us an update on the state of the Okanagan Wine region, where the effects of last year's deep freeze in December are still unfolding. 

As the 2023 British Columbia wine harvest begins, we hear what's happening on the front lines from Michael Clark, winemaker at Clos du Soleil in the Similkameen Valley and Ross Wise MW, Director of Wine for Peller Estates in BC and winemaker for Black Hills Estate near Oliver; both men also taste and talk about their wines on air with Anthony, with Ross speaking first of his white wines in one segment and red wines in a second segment; then we hear from Leah Adint the winemaker for Oregon's Erath Wines in an interview recorded earlier at the Vancouver International Wine Festival in May. 

This week's show features wine luminary Dr. Laura Catena, Managing Director of Bodega Catena Zapata, not long after receiving the notable "World's Best Vineyard to Visit" award; David Lawrason, VP of Wine at WineAlign shares insights into the National Wine Awards and its Canadian Winery of the Year and Ontarian Platinum wine award winners, and teases this fall's Canada's Great Kitchen Party competition and events; Geoffrey Moss, Master of Wine and judge at the National Wine Awards, continues, speaking on the Small Winery of the Year winner and British Columbian Platinum wine award winners; lastly, we hear from Francois Matteo, Managing Director of Phantom Creek Estate Winery, offering a perspective informed by an international career so far that includes Krug and Sēna.
