#SnowPatrol in Their Middle School Glory

Snow Patrol - celtic fest

Hey guys, it’s Jenna and Jenna, your C100 #SnowPatrol! We hit up tons of exciting events this weekend and of course had SO much fun!! We started our weekend off visiting Jessica Goora at Halifax West High School for the C100 $1000 minute at work edition and she did great! Unfortunately, she did not win the $1000 but walked away $70 richer instead! She had all of her fellow teachers cheering her on and we brought our mini calzone samples from G-Street Pizza for them all to try.

On Saturday, we started our busy day checking out the Halifax Celtic Festival! The energy at this festival was AMAZING. Everyone was dancing along to the Celtic music and we learned so much at the vendors and cultural displays! We even got our faces painted by KC’s Face Painting and just look how pretty it was!! This sword from the Federation for Scottish Culture in Nova Scotia was a little intimidating but Jenna handled it like a champ. We’ve never been to an event like this and we had so much fun so we’ll definitely be checking it out again next year!

It was the night we’ve been waiting for all month long… the Marianas Trench concert!!! We got there early to hype up the dedicated fans waiting in the freezing cold with all of the best MT hits and our calzone samples along with our Hotel Halifax ballot box. The lineup literally wrapped around the Cunard Center and the snow wasn’t letting anyone down. The show was SO good and we were truly living our best lives singing along to all of our favourite middle school jams. The crowd was pumped up and the boys put on a great show, as always!

Sunday was one of the nicest winter days we’ve seen yet so we were more than happy to spend the whole day outside! We first stopped by Shubie Park (our fav place to see cute dogs) and soaked up all the sun. There were so many families out for a walk and sledding down the hills, and we gave all of them a chance to drop their name in to win a family fun weekend from Hotel Halifax. We picked up our free snowshoe rentals from The Oval and headed out to Timberlea to finally enjoy the perfect snowshoeing snow. We adventured off into the woods and maybe got a littlllle lost but made our way back to the trail.

We couldn’t forget our Big Game Day snacks so we ended our day picking up some of the essentials from Sobeys Express Needs and FastFuel along with fueling up our 2020 Tucson from Steele Hyundai so it’s full and ready to go for next weekend. We love doing lots of cool outdoorsy things so we are SUPER excited for the Downtown Dartmouth Ice Festival next weekend including skating with princesses at the Zatzman Sportsplex on Saturday! Stay tuned to see where we’ll be and we hope to see you soon!!!
