Your donation today will help support seniors who are isolated; those in need of mental health support, and our frontline workers who need to rest and self-isolate. If you are able, please give generously today at uwgv.ca/covid19. Together we can keep our community strong!
  • Habitat for Humanity - Community, Family, Home & You

You are the key – 200 donors in 100 days can bring 11 families home. The Greater Victoria community (friends, neighbours, social and business networks) is invited to come together to help give eleven local families a hand-up into stable, affordable homeownership. Habitat for Humanity's goal is to collectively raise $200,000 between June 23rd – September 30th to directly fund Habitat Victoria’s active build projects. Construction has now started on the ten homes in North Saanich and one home in Central Saanich. One hundred percent of the funds raised will go directly to building these homes! Recent events have highlighted just how important a safe and stable home can be. The uncertainty we have all experienced this year is the ongoing reality for many families struggling with housing instability. Habitat for Humanity's partner families work hard to provide for their children, but struggle to provide safe, stable housing for them. They are drivers, caregivers, lab technicians, construction workers, educators and more. Many provide the essential services we all rely on in our local community. With your donation, you are giving them a hand-up into an affordable home to call their own, and helping them achieve a stable future that will benefit their children and strengthen our local community for years to come.
  • Tim Hortons Camp Day

Tim Hortons® Foundation Camps supports kids from disadvantaged circumstances between the ages of 12 to 16 during the most vulnerable time of their lives when they are determining who they will become as adults. Through a multi-year, camp-based program, they learn skills like leadership, resilience, and responsibility, empowering them to believe in their own potential and change their stories for the better. Attending a Tim Hortons® Foundation Camp comes at absolutely no cost to kids or their families. The program is supported by Tim Hortons Restaurant Owners and Guests and invests in youth from every community Tim Hortons serves. With two camp development programs (Summer and School) running year-round at each of the seven Camp locations across North America, youth are supported to learn essential life skills needed to thrive in postsecondary school, work, and within their communities.
