The West Shore RCMP Drugs and Organized Crime unit executed 3 search warrants on 2 residences and 1 business in Langford, Shawnigan Lake and Duncan.

Police believe all 3 properties are related to the same drug trafficking operation. One property had an illegal marijuana grow operation with over 100 plants.

Police seized a vast amount of evidence, including about 90 grams of suspected Cocaine, a prohibited modified handgun which was found loaded and stored unsafely, 4 replica handguns, as well as other prohibited weapons -- including brass knuckles and a switch blade knife.

Investigators also recovered a stolen vehicle and a stolen mountain bike. Two other vehicles, and a motor bike, were seized as police believe they were used in the commission of crime.

Three men aged 32, 23 and 21 and two female suspects, ages 29 and 23 were taken into custody.  The investigation is ongoing, and numerous charges are being recommended to Crown Counsel.
