BC Health officials report 4 more COVID-19 cases, and no new deaths

Between Thursday and Friday BC recorded just 4 new cases of COVID-19 -- and no new deaths.  That brings the number of provincewide cases to 2,562 --  while the death toll remains at 164.

To date  2,170 people have now recovered -- or 84.7%.

Of the 228 active cases, 34 people are in hospital, 6 remain in intensive care, and the rest are recovering at home in self-isolation.

There are also no new health-care facility outbreaks to report.

In the health care system 15 long-term care or assisted-living facilities are dealing with outbreaks, and 1 acute-care unit.

And we have no new community outnbreaks in B.C.  Although health teams continue to provide support for outbreaks at federal corrections facilities, the processing facilities in the poultry sector, and for individuals connected to the Kearl Lake plant in Alberta.
