A female homeowner in the 2-thousand block of Sooke Rd in Langford had a scary experience last week.

According to West Shore RCMP the woman was awakened just before 3:30 AM by the sound of a woman crying and knocking on the front door, demanding to be let in.

That was followed by the sound of breaking glass from a basement window. During the incident the homeowner hid upstairs with her 3 children until police arrived.

RCMP were called, and arrived to find a distraught woman on the lower floor of the home.

The suspect was not known to the homeowner and was believed to be under the influence of drugs.

The 23 year old was taken into custody and then taken to hospital to be checked out.

No one was harmed in this incident and the suspect was arrested for unlawfully being in a dwelling and mischief under $5000.
