Nanaimo man convicted after kissing children in a park
In Naniamo a man was convicted after he was seen picking up and kissing children while intoxicated in a park.
39 year old Janson Lee Medinsky pleaded guilty to three charges and four total counts, and was freed after he was credited for six-and-a-half months already served behind bars.
Medinsky also accepted a peace bond requiring him to stay away from a female in relation to the February incident.
During an agreed statement of facts, Crown prosecutor Jackie Gaudet said on May 23, 2018 a witness reported Medinsky was picking up and kissing children in a south Nanaimo park.
For the next two years Medinksky will be on parole, one of his conditions it to abstain from drugs and alcohol.
