Public consultations this week on Southern Resident killer whales
Three public consultations are being held this week on proposed protection measures for Southern Resident killer whales.
The federal government's community meetings go Tuesday night from 6 til 9 at The Westin Bear Mountain Golf Resort & Spa in Langford, Wednesday 6 til 9 at the Prestige Oceanfront Resort in Sooke and another in Richmond on Thursday.
Organizers for The Georgia Strait Alliance says some, but not all, of their recommendations were adopted by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
