Ready to take the plunge into 2019? There's a few chilly ways you can participate.

A New Year's Day Polar Bear Swim is set for Tuesday from 11:30 until 12:30 in Esquimalt Lagoon.

Organizers are asking for a $5 donation for KidSport. $30 get you a commemorative Polar Bear Swim shirt - no word if it's fleece-lined.

In Sooke, the Otter Point Fire Department is hosting the 27th annual Polar Bear Swim at Whiffin Spit Tuesday at noon.

Sidney's polar bear swim happens off Lochside Drive just down from Tulista Park at noon New Years Day as well.
