Trailer homes destroyed by fire in View Royal

Fire destroyed several trailier homes in View Royal Wednesday morning.

View Royal Fire says they were called around 5:40 Wednesday morning to the trailer park in the 1200 block of Craigflower. They found four trailers on fire, three of them fully engulfed in flames. Loud bangs from propane tanks could be heard around the neighbourhood. It's believed the fire started in one unit and spread to the others.

Four people were taken to the hospital. Colwood and Esquimalt have provided mutual aid.

West Shore RCMP closed Craigflower Road. It partially reopened just before 8am.
