Victoria takes 2nd place among BC's rattiest cities
Orkin Canada has released it's 3rd annual list of "Rattiest Cities in BC" -- it appears Victoria has it's fair share of pestilence.
Five BC cities are as provincial leaders when it comes to rodent treatments. Vancouver took top spot, followed by Victoria, Burnaby, Richmond and Surrey
For the third successive year -- no city was able to dislodge the current top five from the rattiest cities list.
The findings by Orkin Canada are based on the number of commercial and residential rodent (rats and mice) treatments carried out by the country's largest pest control provider.
Rats are very active during the Spring months.
The company reminds residents that rodents need only a small hole to gain entry, and vermin can transmit a number of serious diseases.
Homes with small holes or cracks in perimeter walls are most at risk.
