LISTEN: New Foo Fighters EP includes Arcade Fire, Dead Kennedys covers

Earlier this summer, Foo Fighters released 00950025, a 3-song album featuring live recordings from their first concert at Reading Festival in 1995.

Then, earlier this month, the band released  00050525 – Live In Roswell, a live album recorded at Walker Air Force Base in Roswell, New Mexico. The album was recorded in 2005 and its release was meant to coincide with Storm Area 51 Day on September 20.

And just last week, Foo Fighters released 01070725, an EP featuring 5 songs including a live cover of Arcade Fire's 'Keep The Car Running' and a live cover of Dead Kennedys' 'Holiday In Cambodia'. The album is rounded out by alternate versions of 'If Ever', 'Seda', and demo track 'Come Alive'.

Holiday In Cambodia (Dead Kennedys cover)

So what's up with all these mini releases of rarities and live recordings?

They're all part of Foo Files, a series that was launched in July to celebrate the upcoming 25th anniversary of the band's self-titled album released on July 4, 1995.

Concrete and Gold was the band's last studio album and was released in 2017.
