LISTEN: William Shatner sings the blues

Legendary Montrealer, William Shatner is venturing into the world of music again.

The 89-year-old cultural icon announced that he will be dropping a new blues-inspired album appropriately titled The Blues. 

The album will include a series of covers like "Sunshine of Your Love", "The Thrill Is Gone", "I Put A Spell on You" and "Let's Work Together". The project also features appearances by Ritchie Blackmore, Pat Travers, Harvey Mandel & Canned Heat, and more.
 


 

Shatner is no stranger to the world of music. In 1968, he released his first album, The Transformed Man. In 2004, he teamed up with Ben Folds to release Has Been. This was followed in 2011, by a spin on the Canadian National Anthem for the National Film Board. And in 2018, Shatner released a Christmas album titled Shatner Claus.

 

 

Shatner's upcoming album, The Blues will be released on October 2 on Cleopatra Records.
