Montreal company creates visuals for Jack White's current tour
A Montreal studio staffed by 18 employees is behind the visuals for Jack White's current Boarding House Reach Tour.
Using nothing more than White's running themes of the colour blue and the number 3, Luz Studio created CGI videos, a stage design, and lighting show that would be unique to the 43 year old rocker.
However the project proved to be more complex than it might sound on paper. In an interview with CTV News, Luz Studio president, Matthieu Larivée pointed out that White "doesn’t have a set list so you don’t know what he’s going to play”.
This means the company had to design their visuals, which includes revolving screens and a wall of lights, so that everything could be cued by White's guitar as he's playing.
Jack White brings his Boarding House Reach Tour to Place Bell in Laval on November 10. Tickets are available via evenko.ca.
